Job Description
The English Bug (TEB Eikaiwa) is owner-operator run (since 1988) and staffed by teachers with extensive experience in both the eikaiwa teaching industry as well as life in Japan. We require a socially skilled and committed teacher to join our family run business.
TEB is a well-established language school located in Fujinomiya City, situated in Shizuoka Prefecture.Β Fujinomiya City (pop. 130,000) is well connected to major cities by toll highways as well as the JR rail network. Nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, this idyllic Japanese town offers a vast range of activities for any resident, all with iconic Mt Fuji as your backdrop.
We wish to employ an enthusiastic and reliable teacher from Mar/April.Β You will:
- have your "own" students.Β The schedule is set to allow you to plan and grow the minds of those that are in your classes
- have up to 30 contact classes per week
- we encourage creativity - we provide the "what" (to teach) and you provide the "how"
- have classes between 2pm and 9:30
- work in a friendly and relaxed environment

Training - will be provided initially in an observant role, gradually progressing to teaching entire classes.Β Training is on-going; observation lessons and regular feedback enable you to improve and modify your lesson plans.Β Professional development is also on-going.Β All teachers have regular exposure to seminars and developmental days.
The job includes:
- Salary from 275,000/month depending on experience
- A completion bonus
- 7 weeks of paid holidays per year
